listening to : Paco De Lucia - Entre Dos Aguas
i took a stroll down orchard road this evening after work. Amidst the Christmas lights, soaking in the atmosphere, jostling with the crowd (yes, even on a Thursday nite), i tried to psyche myself for this merry occasion. But i couldn't. Besides the lack of vitamin M, it felt as though some things will never be the same again. Where has the spirit of Christmas gone to? It used to excite me when i was little, now it just makes me feel numb. Perhaps i've grown 'wiser' to realise that Santa is just a tale...the joy of giving and the warmth of family ties doesn't seem to make much sense anymore.
Its been awhile since i last walked into Borders. Had it been a month? or two? I used to scorn at the people who 'hung out' over there. Did they think it was really cool to be seen at Borders and horde the magazine section or did they genuinely go there to buy overpriced books and stationery? I scowled at the prices of the travel guides and maps. Gee. I could buy so many things with that price. There has to be a cheaper alternative, i'll have to go source it out.
Once again, i did not set out what i had planned to do. This reluctance has to stop once and for all, or else i'm doomed.
All will be revealed once the time is right. The only dilemma, how to reveal?
ok im off to bed. hope that everything goes well for me. :)
